Every MRI explained before you decide
Non-surgical options are always tried first
The treatment
Microdiscectomy is the most common surgery for a slipped disc (lumbar disc prolapse) and sciatica. Using a high-power operating microscope, Dr. Nitish removes only the part of the disc that has slipped out and is pressing on the nerve.
The healthy part of the disc, the bones and the muscles are kept. Because the cut is small, there is less pain after surgery, very little blood loss and a quick return to normal life.

Questions patients ask
Have a question about your own MRI? Send it on WhatsApp and the clinic will guide you.
Yes. It is one of the most common and well-proven spine surgeries. It is done through a small cut under a microscope, so the risk is low. Dr. Nitish explains every risk to you before you decide.
Many patients can. Most slipped discs get better with medicines, physiotherapy and nerve root blocks. Surgery is suggested only when pain does not settle, or when there is weakness or nerve damage.
Usually about ₹1 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh, depending on the hospital and room type. It is covered by most health insurance policies.
It can happen in a small number of patients. Core exercises, good posture and safe lifting, taught after surgery, lower this chance.
